President Obama said American schools should expand their school days in order to stay competitive in a global 21st century. He admitted that the idea will not be popular with his daughters and other American kids.

Students beware: The summer vacation you just enjoyed could be sharply curtailed if President Barack Obama gets his way.

Obama says American kids spend too little time in school, putting them at a disadvantage with other students around the globe.

Other nations have more school

Obama and Duncan say kids in the United States need more school because kids in other nations have more school.

"Young people in other countries are going to school 25, 30 percent longer than our students here," Duncan told the AP. "I want to just level the playing field."

While it is true that kids in many other countries have more school days, it's not true they all spend more time in school.

Kids in the U.S. spend more hours in school (1,146 instructional hours per year) than do kids in the Asian countries that persistently outscore the U.S. on math and science tests — Singapore (903), Taiwan (1,050), Japan (1,005) and Hong Kong (1,013). That is despite the fact that Taiwan, Japan and Hong Kong have longer school years (190 to 201 days) than does the U.S. (180 days).

Just like the communist countries do! Why does Obama feel the need to be like the other countries and to tie America in with them. We have always been the leading country and he wants to level the playing field?

If left up to Obama we will be run just like the communist countries!

This YouTube video of kids at the B. Bernice Young Elementary in Burlington.. New Jersey.. is making headlines on Fox News. In it.. the children are singing about honoring President Obama and praising him for his accomplishments. The school superintendent says the taping was unauthorized. But Fox News says the school didn't address whether the lesson was approved by the district.

WHAT ALL AMERICANS NEED TO KNOW ABOUT OBAMA

Obama belonged to a Socialist Party. New Information has come out confirming that Obama was a member of a radical socialist political party in Chicago called the “New Party,” composed of former Black Panther members. Several documents have confirmed Obama’s membership as recently as 1996. Obama’s supporters have attempted to “scrub” websites clean of this information but fortunately, researchers made copies of it before it disappeared. So far, the media is refusing to cover this story.

Obama continues to hide his past. Obama has continued to block reporters from gaining access to any and all medical, school, and even legislative records from his state senate days. The media should be screaming about this but they are not. This makes Obama the least known presidential candidate in perhaps American history. All of McCain’s records were made available.

The only thing we do know about Obama’s time at Columbia University is that the title of his thesis was “Soviet Nuclear Disarmament” but he will not release it. I wonder why.

Michelle Obama has written a racist thesis. Access to Michelle Obama’s senior thesis at Princeton was also blocked until recent effort by researchers to gain access to it. I can understand now why access was initially blocked.

In her thesis, Michelle identifies herself as a black separatist and is clearly hostile to the notion of blacks integrating into the larger society with all the evil whites. This is Farrakhan type racism that could have easily been written by a Klansman from a white perspective.

Do you think if Cindy McCain had written a thesis about white separatism, it would be news?

Illegal foreign contributions were pouring into Obama’s campaign at an unprecedented rate. Analysis of Obama’s disclosures revealed he had received around $32 million dollars from overseas, much of it from the Middle East . There are 11,500 foreign donations. 520 of the donors list their country as “IR” which is Iran . He received millions from “Palestinians” and others hostile to US policy. Such contributions are illegal and the Republican Party has asked the FEC to investigate.

Even more alarming is that $190 million of his contributions are unidentified. The donor is not listed. Many donors are clearly using fake names such as “Good, Will.” The problem is that the FEC had no power to freeze Obama’s campaign or even stop him from continuing to receive foreign money.

All that will happen is that Obama might be fined AFTER the campaign is over. With 10% of Obama’s money coming from overseas, this means that for the first time in American history, foreigners will influence the outcome of a presidential election.

Anti-American dictators are praising Obama. Just about every anti-American dictator in the world has issued words of praise for Obama: Cuban dictator, Fidel Castro, North Korean ruler, Kim Jong-il, Venezuelan strongman, Hugo Chavez, Libyan dictator, Moammar Qadhafi, and so forth.

Never before in American history have so many enemies of America praised a candidate for the presidency. Not only that, but an array of communist and socialist parties both here and abroad have praised him. Even terrorist groups such as the pro-Al Qaeda HAMAS and the Columbian terrorist group (and heroin producing) FARC have praised him.

And what did Obama promise in return? Such praise and endorsements do not come casually. This means that people representing Obama must have met with these groups and leaders and have promised changes in US policy favorable to them.

Prior to the election: Obama’s extremist friends go into hiding. The Obama campaign is frantically covering up all Obama’s socialist and Marxist connections by keeping his wacko friends away from the press. They just need to keep Americans in the dark for one more month! Moreover, documents that show Obama’s work with extremist groups are disappearing. But I don’t hear our crack reporters yelling “censorship!”

Forced union dues used for Obama. The unions are gearing up for the largest campaign mobilization in US history. We now know that they have allocated over $100 million dollars of forced union dues to a massive independent effort attacking McCain and supporting Obama. On election day, hundreds of thousands of union workers will mysteriously call in sick and will work on getting the vote out for Obama.

Obama had hordes of attorneys ready to challenge votes. We know that the Obama campaign has around 10,000 lawyers volunteering to work on election monitoring. As the Kerry campaign had four years ago, there will once again be an effort to decertify absentee ballots sent in abroad from military personnel, based on petty mistakes often made with such ballots.

Obama registered thousands of illegal aliens. While the Obama campaign works hard to disenfranchise the men and women fighting to protect us from terrorism, at the same time they were working feverishly to register illegal aliens, felons, and the homeless by the hundreds of thousands.

Video clips appeared on You Tube showing the Obama campaign registering illiterate homeless people. Most states do not ask for proof of citizenship to register to vote, so hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens voted for Obama.

The group that has specialized in registering illegal aliens for a decade is, in fact, Obama’s former “community service” group — ACORN. While ACORN has been in legal trouble repeatedly for this work, the Obama campaign contracted them out do to “voter registration.” Wink, wink.

Lots of felons were voting. Not by coincidence, democrat governors and democrat legislators were granting felons the right to vote. A Virginian Democrat governor gave thousands of felons the right to vote. Remember, crime pays! The Governor claims this action had nothing to do with the coming election. Right.

Taxpayers groups were ignored by the media. There are four major taxpayer groups in Washington DC that monitor taxation and spending issues full time. All have now rated Obama as one of the worst senators on tax, spending and pork issues, while also rating McCain as one of the best senators on these issues. All have issued press releases but the media has purposely ignored this story.

The media is protecting Obama to a degree never before seen in presidential campaign history.

What health-care reform really means

We know, the United States spends more on health care than any other country. And yet ranks behind 18 other industrialized nations in medically preventable deaths. The United States is far down the list and other important categories as well, including the average number of years citizens live a healthy life. Spending more than $1 trillion on health reform may improve these rankings. And yet as Congress and the Obama administration struggled to agree on the nature of reform, it has become harder to understand how the current US system would actually change.

Here is a simple user's guide to understand this little better.

If you all are...

Insured through an employer

It is estimated that 53% of those insured through an employer get health benefits from their job. The current situation, is that employee contributions to job sponsored health coverage have more than doubled in the past decade. Plans, which are tax-free, are often more generous than those available on the open market. But workers can take their coverage with them if they switch jobs or are laid off.

Now how the reform could affect you

The upside;

If all employers are required to offer insurance, employer sponsored plans would never be eliminated. More regulation could reduce the chances that insurers would deny fair claims. A public plan could provide competition in the marketplace and drive down private insurers premiums.

The downside;

Lawmakers are considering taxes on some of the most expensive employee health plans. Thus taxing either employees directly or insurance companies. But insurers are likely to just pass this costs along to consumers, driving up rates. Other taxes could be levied to help cover the poor and the uninsured.

If you all are...

Insured independently, it is estimated that 5% of those insured independently by health insurance on the open market.

The current situation is that people who purchase insurance on their own pay the highest premiums, because they are not in a large risk pool and are evaluated based on their health profile. Choices for coverage’s are limited, and individuals must often buy insurance with after-tax dollars.

How the reform could affect you

The upside;

Regulation could prevent insurers from setting rates based on health or turning people away because of pre-existing conditions. If offered, a public option is likely to be available for individuals from the start. Lower income earners could be eligible for federal subsidies to help them purchase coverage.

The downside...

It’s hard for things to be any worse for people now buying their only insurance on the open market. Nearly all major aspects of reform would make this prospect easier and cheaper.

If you all are...

Insured through a public program, it is estimated that 26% are covered by Medicare, and/or Medicaid.

The current situation, those insured through public program are mostly seniors and many poor Americans who rely on Medicare and Medicaid to ensure them... for now. Baby boomers will soon stress the Medicare system, while states are struggling to meet Medicaid costs. Senior space, the gap in prescription drug coverage, and low Medicaid reimbursement causes many providers to reject these patients.

How the reform could affect you

The upside...

Pharmaceutical companies have agreed to cut drug prices to help close the prescription drug coverage gap. More Medicare focus on prevention and management of chronic disease could lower the overall cost of the program, ensuring its long-term stability.

The downside...

Lawmakers say increased efficiency could bring down Medicare spending, but they almost certainly would have to reduce coverage as well. Broadening eligibility criteria for Medicaid, which the House is proposing, would increase federal spending dramatically.

If you all are...

The owner of a small business, it is estimated that 62% of firms with three 299 workers offer health benefits.

The current situation for these small business owners is that more and more small businesses are dropping coverage for employees or reducing the proportion of insurance premiums they pay. This saves on cost, but sometimes means losing workers to big companies, which have larger risk pools and therefore can afford to offer more generous benefits.

The upside...

If a public plan exist did, small businesses could buy into it and be included in a larger risk pool, thus driving down the cost of providing coverage to employees. Companies with fewer than 10 or 25 employees, depending on which, if any, congressional proposal becomes law, could be exempted from reform provisions requiring employers to offer health benefits.

The downside...

Midsize companies could still be forced to offer small health benefits. Small businesses that employ low wage workers might have to pay a penalty if their workers receive federal subsidies to buy insurance.

If you are...

Uninsured, the current situation with the uninsured is that 15% lacked any type of coverage. People without insurance typically put off basic medical care and end up in emergency rooms when they get sick. They are often less healthy and more likely to develop chronic diseases, the cost of which must be absorbed by the entire healthcare system.

The upside...

Expansion of the Medicaid program could cover large ranks of the uninsured. Those forgoing insurance now because of the cost could be eligible for federal subsidies to purchase private insurance or buy into a public health insurance plan. That is if one existed.

The downside...

If the government requires individuals to have insurance, but does not require employers to provide it, the working uninsured will have to shop for insurance on their own. Plus some would be too poor to buy insurance, but not poor enough to qualify for Medicaid or a government subsidy.

The way the big players see it:

The insurance companies

Private insurers are making healthy profits now, but know they will lose a sizable chunk of customers when baby boomers move into the Medicare system. Insurers make money by setting rates based on the help of enrollees and turning down individuals with expensive pre-existing conditions.

What they like; current reforms proposals could require all Americans to get health coverage, giving insurers a huge pool of potential new customers.

What they don't like; any government run health plan could glue or Americans away from private insurance. Plus, new regulations could prohibit insurers from rejecting anyone for coverage or basing rates on health risk. To generate revenues and discourage overuse of health care, insurers could be taxed on some high in employer-based health plans.

The hospitals

Many community hospitals operate on thin margins, in part because of the low cost of Medicaid reimbursements and the expense of treating the uninsured. Emergency rooms are overflowing, and many hospitals are struggling to deal with outdated record-keeping systems.

What they like; federal investigations in information technology could help hospitals, modernize medical record-keeping. Getting coverage for the uninsured would mean hospitals could cut down on charity care. Tighter regulations on physician ownership of hospitals would benefit nonprofit community hospitals.

What they don't like; a public health insurance plan, which Congress is considering, today's reimbursement rates on Medicare, which pays less than private insurers. Hospitals can see gradual reductions in the hardship payments they receive to provide charity care, but which they use to cover other shortfalls.

The doctors

Dr. stays high malpractice insurance cost and a port system that encourages them to perform more tests and services rather than fewer, in order to avoid lawsuits. Low reimbursement rates have also led to a 30% shortage of primary care providers nationwide.

What they like; loan forgiveness programs for medical students who go into primary care, could he ease the shortage of their. Reimbursement reforms under discussion could reward doctors for keeping patients healthy rather than paying them based on services provided.

What they don't like; since the goal of health care reform is to lower the cost of healthcare overall, some doctors could see their incomes drop. A greater focus on prevention efforts, many of which do not require medical intervention, could also leave doctors with less to do and therefore reduce their pay in the process.

The health care plans;

There is a plan that is called a fee for service; what it means; we paid for medical services individually, each time we see a doctor and for every test or procedure he orders.

What you need to know; by providing more services, doctors and hospitals can charge more, which drives up health care costs. The all a cart structure also makes it hard to keep track of the total bill.

There is a plan called the Cadillac plan; what it means is a hyena platinum, often paid for by an employer, that covers most medical needs at little cost to the patient.

What you need to know; because consumers don't directly pay for services, they tend to overuse them. Congress is considering taxing these plans to generate revenue.

There is a plan called the public plan; what it means is a government run health plan that would compete with private ones on cost. What you need to know; a public plan could leverage its volume into lower costs and premiums, but critics claim it could put private insurers out of business.

And then there is the rationed care program; it means the claim that in a public plan bureaucrats will decide the quantity and quality of the care you receive.

What you need to know; it's the bogeyman that those opposed to major reform like to conjure up, but none of the reform proposals anticipates such a consequence.

President to Give Speech to Our Children

Now my understanding is that the President wants to address each and every student regarding the importance of staying in school and getting a great education.
The controversy that is going on over whether this should happen or not is based on things that have already happened with Obama. Number one in almost every speech that he gives, he never stays on that particular speech.
An example of that, he was giving a speech regarding the health care reform bill, and the next thing you know, he was talking about the stupid cops and that of course started a controversy.

There have been many instances when Barack Obama has been either on a television show or any talk type show, where he has made inappropriate comments. These comments have led people to believe that he could possibly be a racist. Now I’m not saying this is the case, but I'm also not saying that it's not. I have read his books, and I've read the things that he has written in his books. And in one of his books in particular, he talks about how school was not important to him and that picking sides and to “quote” him the black side was what he had to do. That is what he chose to do.

So my question, is his speech going to be lie in front of our children, talking about staying in school and the importance of it. But what if he vears off in a different direction? Also ask the question, this is the leader of the United States, telling our children, what is best for them rather than allowing the parents to do the parenting.

But what would he say if the child were to ask him what he thinks about smoking? We are trying to bring up kids that should be taught not to smoke and should be taught that it's not healthy for them. But yet, the president of the United States smokes. Now don’t get me wrong, that's his choice and if that's what he chooses to do there's nothing wrong with that. But in the same token, he can turn around and tell kids what's right and what's wrong when he doesn't fall those policies himself.

My concern as a parent is very simple and basic, If President Barack Obama stays on the subject about teaching the kids how important it is to get a good education. And the importance of getting a decent job to be to make decent money to the you can survive in this world, that will be great.

However, what I see as an adult, is a President, who is spending our money, who is putting us in debt for the quote good of the country, and yet millions of people at this point are losing their homes or jobs, their cars or stability.

These are people who went to school, who got a good education who went to college and who succeeded. Not just the poor. Now that’s not Obama's fault.

But is he making it better? I don't see it that way, what I see us going further in debt. What I see is the attitude of it's his way or no way. I find that Obama can speak very eloquently, and he can tickle your ears.. But if you dare question or disagree, then he becomes like another person.

Given the fact that the President was a junior senator and that's as far up in the political world he went before becoming president, given the history of his level of expertise, I would say at this point, he has his hands full just trying to run the country much less being worried about telling our kids what they should do what they should do.

Now I want you to hear me on is this; If Obama makes a speech to our kids and he speaks to the importance of staying in school and getting an education I am all for it. But as I stated I'm concerned that he vears away from that platform and subliminally put thoughts and ideas into our kids.

I say it this way because elementary school kids, junior high kids and even most of the high school kids don't really understand what's going, on their not at voting age. Their not paying attention, they still live at home and their parents take care of them. So this is of little concern for them.

So if Obama turns this into, maybe you should go into the military, maybe you should fight for your country, maybe you should vote for me in 2012.
If he turns this into his own political platform, which as stated, he is done manyy many times in the past the that is just wrong.

My thoughts on this, it reminds me of hunting, when you’re hunting, you hunt for the week, if you're a bully you pick on the smaller kids. Now being that Obama has not been doing too well with the adults and even the adults who voted for him, Isn’t it ironic that now he wants to speak to her children.

And the thing that gets me is that he wants to do this in a situation where the parents are not there. This will be broadcast during the day, while the children are in school. I think that's why so many parents have a problem with this, because we won't be there to say yeah that's a good point or no no no no let's turn this off. I for myself as a parent monitor what my children watch on TV. And now they're going to go to school and be forced to watch something from somebody that I don't totally agree with at this point that I don't see helping this country that I don't respect at this moment and he is going to be telling my child what he feels.

Yes, I have a problem that. My understanding is that after the broadcast. He has recommended that all students write an essay discussing how each student can help the president. Doesn’t that sound like reverse psychology? It just seems to me that there's more to this agenda than what's being proposed.

Let's keep one thing in mind, before Obama became president, while he was running, there was the big blowup over Reverend Wright, who Obama then denounced and said he didn't know that Reverend Wright was that way. And yet he was with that church for two decades. He was more than just a member. He was very active in the church during those 20 years. I'd have to question was Obama just sick every day that Reverend Wright gave his racist sermons?

Not to try bring all this up and cause more dissension among everybody, because I know you think this….I think that and I am not trying to stir up contentions. However, I think that issue here is that Obama says things in then takes them back or he says something and he says what he mean it that way.

You can not do that when you're dealing with children, because it sticks in their head, and they remember it. Reminds me of what Dr. Phil says, it takes a lot of “atta” boys to make up for one bad boy.

If Obama makes a comment that should not be made, and we know that he has a history of doing this and it affects the children….

That's not something that can just be erased. That's why I think that it's important that children do not see this at school, but actually have the opportunity to watch it with her parents. That way, we are there with them, and we can teach them and talk with them and discuss with them how they feel and take it from that point.

Health Care bill messing with "best system"

"Obama's health care plan will be written by a commitee whose head says he doesn't understand it, passed by a congress that hasn't read it, whose members will be exempt from it, signed by a president who smokes, funded by a treasury chief who evaded his taxes, overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country this is broke"

Now, we can laugh at this, but you know, if you stop and think about it, it could also make you cry because as you are aware as I that no one in congress understands the entire bill.

It is impossible. From front to back, the document is couched in Government jargon. However, you and I both know that when Congress stared pushing the bill that:

The majority of our representatives had not read it and consequently...
They had no idea what was in it, and...
They knew they were exempt from it.

Given the third point, it is obvious why they were indifferent to the first two points.
Hey, we're just stupid and ignorant beasts of the field out here. They're imprortant: they're congressmen (at least until 2010)

I don't see how anyone can argue those points, nor this fourth one: OUR PRESIDENT SMOKES.

Of course, smoking is his own choice. It's no skin off my nose if he wants to savage his body like that, but he has a lot of gall to insist he knows what's best for millions of American's while abusing his own body.

And then he wants our "troops" to no longer be able to smoke while in the field?

On top of all this, we cannot dispute the fact the Treasury Chief Geithner did not pay his 2001-2004 taxes in the amount of $43,100.00, or that the surgeon general from Alabama is over-weight.

What our president has given us is a collection of administrators with little or no self-discipline to tell us what to do.

Excuse me for saying it, but thats like naming Bonnie and Clyde co presidents of the First National Bank and entrusting them with the bank customers money.

So to make this point #7, at 9:42 am August 20th, 2009 the U.S. Debt was $11,731,591,419,387 and growing over $100,000 every five seconds. The comes out in excess of $38,000 for each American, not counting the other people who aren't counted.

And then we have the trillions of the health care bill to add to this.

Now I hear from the media that the Democrats are tired of trying to come up with a bi-partisan bill. There's talk they'll go it alone, using the strong-arm tactic or "reconciliation,"

a political technique allowing a group to bend the rules enought to pass a bill.

The Controversy over Gay Marriage

As always we have different prospectives on gays or lesbians getting married. You have the "no way" attitude, the "I don’t care as long as it doesn’t effect me" and of course you have the "yes it should be allowed. So here is my resolution on this controvery and how we all can deal with this and be happy.

Let’s start with the basics first!

You do not choose who you love. It just happens
You are born the way you are and what you feel is real
You do not choose to be “straight or gay”. It is who you are.
Marriage is a union of 2 people that love each other and want to express that to the world.
People marry for many reasons, most often including one or more of the following: legal, social, emotional, economical, and religious.
Marriage is a union between two persons, who lived in harmony so absolute with each other, as to be independent of the world outside.
Merriam Webster dictionary: the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law (2) : the state of being united to a person of the same sex in a relationship like that of a traditional marriage b : the mutual relation of married persons : wedlock c: the institution whereby individuals are joined in a marriage
When you love someone you want to have the ties that bind, in this case I am referring to legal ties that bind. When two people of any sexuality join in marriage they are now partners. Partners in all areas. If one is sick the other can be at the hospital with them. They can make decisions for one another when the other one cannot do this for themselves.
The term marriage merely means to unite as one.

So based on the above: whats the big deal?

Here are the opposing issues:

Marriage is to be sacred:
Marriage is for raising children.
Gay marriages will lead inexorably to polygamy and other alternatives.
Every public school in the nation will be required to teach this.
The impact on Social Security if there are millions of new dependents that will be entitled to survivor benefits?
This will spread throughout the world.

Ok, so I know there are many more opposing issues: But these seem to be the main ones so lets look at these.

Opposing view #1 above: The word Sacred means:set apart for, and dedicated to, some person, place, purpose, sentiment, etc. If two people love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together…isn’t that sacred..isn’t that be dedicated to?

Opposing view #2 above: I have spent the past 10 years (I am female and not homosexual) helping my sister raise her 3 boys and I must say we did a pretty good job of it. Now my sister was married and where did he go? Most men (not all) don’t raise the children anyways because they are to busy. Where as a gay man is generally very loving and very supportive. If only a male and female can do the job of raising children then we have a bigger problem on our hands than gay marriages!

Opposing view #3 above: What? polygamy and other alternatives have been going on long before the debate of gay marriage! How do the two have anything in common? Go to Utah and bring up that subject.

Opposing view #4 above: Every school will have to teach this…that is not the case and is in fact false. However, schools should teach this and the next generation of “HOMOSEXUALS” will be in these schools! Get real people, maybe if this were taught a lot of the “hate” in this world be reduce. Once people are educated they usually get the point. It is ignorance on a subject that causes problems.

Opposing view #5 above: First off every working American will (well maybe the way the country is going there may not be social security) qualify for SSA. When a loved one dies and there benefits are passed on to their family..so what …they worked for them. It is no different than leaving your spouse the house. And if this is a major issue, well lets take it out of the equation for a moment. The spouse left behind would then get a job or already be on SSA or public assistance anyways. What difference does it make what your sex is on this issue?

Opposing view #6 above: It will spread? What is it a pandemic? Oh crap…the real news…homosexuals live right next door to you, they go to church with you, they go to the supermarket with you…Get the point?

Opposing view #7 above: I saved this one for last as I think this requires some thought. Those of you who believe that gay marriage is wrong because the bible says so….Well let me tell you something! Jesus said for us to love one another, he told us not to judge one another, he told us love our enemies. Don’t preach a section of the bible and then not stand behind the rest. I would have to question then why so many “Christians” who get married and say “for better or for worse until death do us part”, get divorced all the time. Remember Jesus saying worry about the plank in your own eye before telling someone else about the speck in their eye? And above all…each and everyone of us will be judge according to our hearts and that will be an individual thing between God and oneself.

Ok so that in a nutshell

Since the Term Marriage seems to be such an issue with many many people. What if it were called a loving, caring, two person union in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law.

WAIT: THAT IS THE DEFINITION OF THE WORD MARRIAGE! RATHER THAN CALLING IT A TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE WE WILL NOW CALL IT A NEW CREATION MARRIAGE!

By the way the definition for traditional is: old-style, outdated, outmoded, out-of-date, old, old-fashioned.

How would you feel being “straight” and your spouse gets injured and your not even allowed in the hospital room? You have no say so for their care? You could never walk down the street and hold your spouses hand or give him or her a kiss without being worried you might get jumped. Stimulus promises not fulfilled when it comes to jobs

At the six month anniversary of President Barack Obama's "achievement"

...the $787 billion stimulus measure-

it's important to separate economic fact from fiction.

Although Democratic lawmakers were convinced to pass the massive spending bill
"without reading it",
the White House promised the stimulus would provide "an immediate jolt" to the U.S. economy. Thus creating millions of new jobs and keeping unemployment under 8 percent.

None of these promises have materialized.

If the stimulus is working so well, where are all the jobs?

There are 2 million Americans who have lost their jobs, the economy continues to contract and the unemployment rate is at 9.4% and looks like that will increase.

The government reported that mass layoffs are at a record high.

The reason why?

The stimulus is too slow and not focused on jobs. Only 10% of this stimulus money has hit the U.S. economy.
There is no way you can say...at least with a straight face that this is driving the economy to recovery.

Only 1/2 of the stimulus spending will make its way through federal and state bureaucracy by early 2011.

This of course will be long after the economy really needs it and it is just as the "critics" (as we are called) predicted.

Here is a breakdown of some of the spending:

5% is funded for roads and infrastructure.

Stimulus dollars will be wasted on things like buying new public art (rather than helping small businesses survive)

Far too much of the spending has been wasteful.

Everyday the media reports on some outrageous spending:

$3 million turtle crossing in Florida
$50,000 for a hand puppet project through the National Endowment for the arts.
New office furniture for federal executives.
In Union, NY the city was given $600,000 for a homeless program. The city doesn't have homeless issues nor a homeless program.

Is this how we want our tax dollars spent?

Borrowing more than a trillion dollars to pay for all this eventually will put a drag on America's recovery, along with increased energy prices from the cap-and-trade scheme and major tax increases on professionals and small businesses included in the health care reform bill.

I didn't say this? I never agreed to this? Did You?

I guess you cannot have an opinion anymore although the bill of rights states we do. Or better yet, you better keep your opinion to yourself.

The theory is Beck has lost too many sponsors over his “racist” comment regarding President Barack Obama.

Wow, has anyone read any of Barack Obama’s books? have you paid attention to the news and some of the comments he makes? There have been many things Obama has said that I have found to be racist.

Whats next, if you don’t think like President Obama wants you to and you don’t follow him then you are black balled.

The White House spin machine is already in full spin cycle trying to deflect Barack Obama’s latest gaffe!

That was his comments on bowling

like someone in the “special Olympics”.

Or how about the comment made regarding the “white officer”, even though Barack Obama said he did not know the facts he clearly stated, the white police officer “acted stupidly.

When asked about the remark, regarding the bowling “Special Olympics”, the White House said the president did not intend to offend.

It seems there have been a lot of cover ups for what Obama did not INTEND to say or do.

So now Glenn Beck says what he feels and everyone is running to “delete” him. In fact his comment was “he felt” that Obama is racist.

He did not say “he is”, but merely was stating how he felt about Obama.

To quote:
Bill/amendment #1.Congress shall make no law respecting an Establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Seems to me Glenn Beck was just using his freedom of speech of the position he was in to petition the Government on what he felt was wrong.

And maybe Glenn Beck is a racist himself…but the fact of the matter is….we are all allowed to have and to voice our opinions.

The government has even made comments that Barack Obama’s “brown shirts” are after Glenn Beck. The Obama administration should not be allowed to have this type of control it is a direct offense against our bill of rights amendment #1.

The point: Obama has his opinions, Glenn Beck has his, I have mine, you have yours and so on.
I didn’t realize Glenn Becks word became reality!

Barack Obama also said this was not a “christian” country anymore at one point…did that make it true because he said it. Research some more on this.

Infants' remains found under Texas mobile home

The skeletal remains of two infants were found underneath a rural Texas trailer, police said Monday, in the same area where another set of infant remains was found last year.

Authorities were called about 3:30 p.m. Sunday to the trailer south of Kennedale, about 15 miles southeast of Fort Worth, Texas, in rural Tarrant County.

There is a group of about five mobile homes there, that are leased by the property owner.

One of the mobile homes had recently become vacant, and the owner was cleaning it up .

The owner pulled back the metal "skirt" around the bottom of the mobile home and was "digging around in there," and found a plastic bag.

When the man opened it up, he found a box, and inside the box he found the "bones of a very young infant," . He continued to look, and found another plastic container with more remains inside, of a "similar-aged infant," before calling 911.

In 2008, the same man called police to report that he had found a suitcase in the same area, in an overgrown field a distance away from the mobile homes, while dumping leaves. When he used a knife to cut into the suitcase, a set of infant bones were found.

The medical examiner's office was unable to determine a cause of death because the remains were skeletal, although no bones were broken, he said.

We worked the thing as best we could, without any more to go on than we had," but the investigation stalled, officer in charge Grisham said.

Police have contacted the two people -- a brother and sister -- who recently moved out of the trailer. The two have been cooperative with authorities, and they were interviewed separately, but both told police they had no idea the remains were there,

Authorities and the medical examiner's office remained at the scene Monday, and plan to use cadaver dogs at the site Monday afternoon in an effort to determine whether more remains were present.

"This ground is pretty brushy and overgrown," he said. A county work crew was brought in to carefully cut down the brush to aid the search, he said.

Auto Industry Braces For Hangover After The 'Clunker' Party

As the U.S. government's popular "Cash for Clunkers" program shut down officially at 8 p.m. Monday, it left behind mounds of paperwork and empty lots at dealerships across the country.

Over the weekend, an onslaught of customers descended on dealerships, hoping to take advantage of the offer, which allowed consumers to trade in their gas guzzlers for a voucher worth up to $4,500 toward a new vehicle.

In back offices, accountants and other dealership workers sat at their computers until the wee hours of Sunday morning, uploading their applications to the government's Web site.

The online system was slow and crashed several times, forcing transportation officials to extend the deadline until noon Tuesday for dealers to submit their paperwork.

Auto Nation, the country's biggest car dealership chain, stopped accepting clunker program trade-ins over the weekend because it was concerned about getting in all of the paperwork on the more than 12,000 deals it did.

The company processed 1,600 sales on Friday night alone, and employees worked in shifts at offices in Dallas throughout the weekend.

"This is the jump-start to a gradual recovery," said Marc Cannon, a spokesman for AutoNation.
Transportation officials said 625,000 transactions, worth $2.58 billion, had been submitted as of Monday morning.

The Obama administration declared the program a success. An estimate issued Monday by the White House Council of Economic Advisers said the program is projected to boost U.S. third-quarter gross domestic product by 0.3 to 0.4 percentage points and create 42,000 jobs by the end of 2009.

Many auto industry analysts and dealers expect sales volumes to fall now that the program is over. They worry that many people who took advantage of the program were merely accelerating purchases they would have made later in the year.

If that's true, the premature sales could hurt automakers, which increased production in the third quarter to replenish clunker-depleted inventories that had already grown low because of factory shutdowns over the summer.

Because there's a lag time between production and getting a vehicle to a dealership, the new vehicles "will hit when there's a lower demand," said Jeff Schuster, executive director of forecasting at the auto industry research firm J.D. Power and associates.

"There might not be as many people to buy because they bought during the clunker program," he said. "And if at the same time there's less of an incentive program from carmakers, you could have fewer people buying. That could stall the recovery we're in."

Jeremy Anwyl, chief executive of Edmunds.com, another automotive research group, agreed.
" 'Cash for Clunkers' created a nice little blip," he said.

"We'll look back and say, 'Nice party, but the hangover is awful.' "

H1N1 Swine Flu Estimated to effect 1/2 of USA

Swine flu could infect half the U.S. population this fall and winter, hospitalizing up to 1.8 million people and causing as many as 90,000 deaths -- more than double the number that occur in an average flu season, according to an estimate from a presidential panel released Monday.

The virus could cause symptoms in 60 million to 120 million people, more than half of whom might seek medical attention.

The President's Council of Advisors put together an 86-page report to the White House assessing the government's response to the
first influenza pandemic in 41 years.

Although most of the cases probably would be mild, up to 300,000 people could require intensive care.

"This is going to be fairly serious," said Harold E. Varmus of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, "It's going to stress every aspect of our health system."

While the seasonal flu is associated with 30,000 to 40,000 deaths and 200,000 hospitalizations each year, the lack of immunity to the swine flu virus probably will lead to many more people becoming infected, sick -- and possibly to 30,000 to 90,000 deaths.

And while most deaths during a typical flu season occur in the elderly, swine flu is more likely to kill children and young adults.

The outbreak could turn out to be milder, too. The primary purpose of the estimates id to help guide planning for the public.

For example, it was estimated that the outbreak could peak in mid-October.

In addition, recommendations clarifying how antiviral drugs should be used to fight the pandemic.

Swine flu virus, or H1N1, emerged last spring in Mexico and quickly spread to the United States and around the world. Although far less dangerous than initially feared, the virus has sickened children and young adults more frequently than the typical seasonal flu.

"This isn't the flu that we're used to," said Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.

"The 2009 H1N1 virus will cause a more serious threat this fall. We won't know until we're in the middle of the flu season how serious the threat is, but because it's a new strain, it's likely to infect more people than usual."

There are no specific medical treatments recommended. If the disease progresses to a more severe form (you experience trouble breathing, shortness of breath, chest pains, dizziness or vomiting), immediately contact your physician so you can begin treatment with antivirals and get other medical care.

How do I take care of someone I'm living with who has H1N1?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has guidelines for what to do if you find yourself caring for someone with the flu: Basically, you should minimize your exposure to the person, make sure you remind the sick person to practice good etiquette for coughing and sneezing (cough or sneeze into a disposable tissue that you get rid of immediately, or into your sleeve) and have everyone in the household wash their hands regularly.

I've seen antibacterial, alcohol-based and other soaps. What should I use?
Any kind of soap will work against influenza viruses, as long as you are sure to wash your hands well. Don't just get them wet with water and walk away. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers work well against influenza if your job doesn't allow you to wash your hands regularly.

Government Ending 'Cash for Clunkers' Program Monday

WASHINGTON --

The Obama administration plans to end the popular $3 billion Cash for Clunkers program on Monday, giving car shoppers a few more days to take advantage of big government incentives.

The Transportation Department said Thursday the government will wind down the program on Monday at 8 p.m. EDT. Car buyers can receive rebates of $3,500 or $4,500 for trading in older vehicles for new, more fuel-efficient models.

Through Thursday, auto dealers have made deals worth $1.9 billion and are on pace to exhaust the program's $3 billion in early September.

The incentives have generated more than 457,000 vehicle sales. Administration officials said they have reviewed nearly 40 percent of the transactions and have already paid out $145 million to dealers.

Administration officials said applications for rebates will not be accepted after 8 p.m. EDT Monday and dealers should not make additional sales without receiving all the necessary paperwork from their customers. Dealers will be able to resubmit rejected applications after the deadline.

President Barack Obama said in an interview Thursday that the program has been "successful beyond anybody's imagination" but dealers were overwhelmed by the response of consumers.

He pledged that dealers "will get their money."

Dealers have complained of delays in getting reimbursed and backlogs of vehicle paperwork getting processed in the program. Dealers have said they face a risk of not being reimbursed

but LaHood has pledged that dealers will get paid for the incentives.

I wonder if they will get paid before their car lots look like the below picture!

The administration has said it has tripled the number of staffers sorting through the dealer paperwork.

Meanwhile, hundreds of local car dealerships are pulling out of the program because of the many delays of getting paid back from the government.

The greater NY automobile dealers association says the dealers cannot afford to offer more rebates while waiting for reimbursement.

Most dealers are worried they won't get paid at all.

The above signs will be seen all over if payments aren't made soon!

"The Federal Government hasn't even told them whether their transaction they just sold is going to be "paid or funded" at all.

Dealers pay the rebates out of pocket, then must wait to be reimbursed by the government. But administrative snags and heavy paperwork have created a backlog of unpaid claims.

Many dealers have waited so long to get reimbursed they don't have the cash to fund any more rebates.

"The program is a great program in the sense that it's creating a lot of floor traffic that a lot of dealers haven't seen in a long time," he said.

"But it's in the hands of this enormous bureaucracy and regulatory agency," he added.

"If they don't get out of their own way, this program is going to be a huge failure."

Obama says he's adding three times the staff to process the claims. Either they planned for failure or don't know how to plan at all.

A lot of claims are being rejected for information that is wrong or missing.

Typical government program make it so difficult that people cant even fill out the paper work properly to get paid.

Is President Barack Obama a racist?

Yes, I said it: Obama is a racist. I know a racist when I hear one. So is his buddy, Henry Louis Gates. Don't let these two Ivy League-educated, erudite, distinguished black men convince you that only whites can be racists. Believe me, these two men are the worst kind of racists: black and elitist.

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, a racist is someone who believes "all members of each racial group possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially to distinguish it as being either superior or inferior to another racial group or racial groups."

When Sgt. Crowley investigated a possible burglary at Prof. Gates' Cambridge home last month, Gates met a white cop at his door and evidently assumed Crowley was a bad cop, a rogue, a racist cop who would treat him differently than any other suspected perp, just because he was black.

That's racism, folks! What did Gates do when faced with a police officer investigating a burglary in his home? Was Gates polite and courteous to the cop? Did he cooperate and step onto the porch out of the darkened home so Crowley could see his face and ID? Did he calmly explain why a passerby saw him breaking in, if, in fact, it was his own house? Did he speak or act like the esteemed scholar and professor his ID claimed him to be?

Nope. He was belligerent, accusatory, uncooperative, irrational and defamatory, throwing racial slurs at the white officer, even insulting the cop's mother (as in, "Yo momma is so...").

If ever a man did NOT act with Harvard professorial dignity and decorum, if ever a black man acted like a thug from the ‘hood, Gates did. Is it any wonder Officer Crowley asked for more ID, one that actually listed that house as his address, or asked for another person to corroborate Gates' identity? I would, wouldn't you?

And when Gates refused, and became so incensed and insulting to the Sergeant who was there to protect his property that a crowd grew around his house, was Crowley supposed to allow this kind of behavior, just because Gates was black? No. He arrested Gates for disorderly conduct, as he was trained to do. Last time I checked, police arrest people regardless of race when they act like crazy people in the presence of peace officers.

So why is President Obama a racist? Because he, like his friend Gates, automatically assumed the white police officer "acted stupidly." BO assumed it was the white officer's fault, because, of course, we all know white cops are racist, right? And later, when he slightly retracted his statement, he still felt the need to say, "It would have been better if cooler heads had prevailed." By now he knew the facts, that his friend Gates had lost his mind and acted like a fool, but he assumed that Sgt. Crowley similarly lost it and "got all up" in Gates' face, because, of course, that's what all white cops do.

But this white cop didn't, because he's not just any cop, he is an expert at managing racial incidents just like this one became, because of Gates' racism. Friends and fellow officers of all races say Sgt. James Crowley is calm and reliable in situations racially hostile situs, because he was hand-picked by a black police commissioner to teach recruits how to avoid racial profiling, and Crowley has apparently been doing a stellar job at it for 5 years.

But Gates and our esteemed president didn't know that, did they?

So, who are the racists in this story? Gates accused a decent, decorated, above-reproach police officer of being a racist rogue cop, just because he was white. What did our esteemed "black" president do? He immediately took Gates' side, because he's a friend and black!

Um, Mr. President, I thought you were going to help erase the racial lines that divide us?

Shame on you for taking sides on something you admitted you knew nothing about, for commenting nationally on a small, local issue well beneath your pay grade, and for showing us all that you are not that different that the racist Gates who believes all white cops are bad cops, just because of their skin color.

Mr. President, you are a racist. Shame on you.

BARACK OBAMA INSULTS SPECIAL OLYMPICS

Obama fans the flames of racism and this is a teaching lesson for us. Obama made a terrible joke about Special Olympics and that too was supposed to be a teaching lesson.

Towards the end of his approximately 40-minute appearance, the president talked about how he’s gotten better at bowling and has been practicing in the White House bowling alley.

He bowled a 129, the president said.

“That’s very good, Mr. President,” Leno said sarcastically.

It’s “like the Special Olympics or something,” the president said.

Mr. Obama and the rest of you Kool-Aid drinking apologists, spare us the BS spin of what you did not mean to do or say. It makes no difference what you intended to do, YOU DID IT!!!

People do not intend to be racist when they make certain comments, yet the comments are. You compared your bad bowling to as if you were a Special Olympics athlete. There is no positive message that can be spun. What is even worse Obama, is that this is obviously part of your normal vocabulary as you thought nothing wrong in saying it.

The White House spin machine is already in full spin cycle trying to deflect Barack Obama’s latest gaffe.

When asked about the remark, the White House said the president did not intend to offend.

It seems there have been a lot of cover ups for what Obama did not INTEND to say or do.

“The president made an off-hand remark making fun of his own bowling that was in no way intended to disparage the Special Olympics,” White House deputy press secretary Bill Burton said. “He thinks the Special Olympics is a wonderful program that gives an opportunity for people with disabilities from around the world.”

We were told during the 2008 Presidential campaign that for 20 years when Obama attended the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago Obama never sat in a pew when Reverend Jeremiah Wright made racists comments or spewed hate from the pulpit against America.

Really? Really? Barack Obama’s quick jump to automatically presume racism and that the Cambridge, MA police department did something wrong in the arrest of Harvard professor Henry Lewis Gates Jr. tells me that maybe he was present and did hear a sermon or two.

After Taking In the Clunkers, Car Dealers Report an Extended Wait for the Cash

Cash for Clunkers is killing the car industry.

Car dealers are growing increasingly impatient with the government's slow pace in reimbursing them for accepting trade-ins as part of its popular "Cash for Clunkers" program, even though Transportation Department officials say they are working to address the delays.

The National Automobile Dealers Association estimates that dealers have hundreds -- and in some cases thousands -- of applications pending that are "worth hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars."

In Maryland alone, dealers have put in $36 million in claims under the clunkers program but have been reimbursed for only about 2 percent of the total, said Peter Kitzmiller, president of the 325-member Maryland Automobile Dealers Association.

"It is ludicrous at this point," Kitzmiller said. "We've got deals that are just sitting there waiting to be reviewed. The customer is gone, the car is gone, and you don't have your money."

Under the program, people who scrap their gas guzzlers can get a voucher worth up to $4,500 toward a new, more fuel-efficient vehicle.

Dealers essentially front the money for the cash incentive with the understanding that the government will reimburse them once they file the necessary paperwork online and the deal is approved.

Fitzgerald Automotive, one of the largest Washington area dealerships, says it is owed $2.7 million from the government. Darcars, another large area dealership, says it is owed $5 million after taking in roughly 1,300 vehicles.

To deal with the issue, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said it is tripling the number of workers who are processing claims to 1,100 contract and federal employees. Trade groups are offering Web seminars to help dealers figure out how to properly submit paperwork so they get their money faster.

In the roughly three weeks since the program officially began, 411,624 transactions, worth $1.7 billion, have been submitted, according to government numbers released Tuesday.

Most of the clunkers traded in were trucks and sport-utility vehicles. Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic and the Ford Focus have been the top three new vehicles bought under the program.

To keep up with demand some automakers have said they are increasing their production.
For the first time since filing for bankruptcy, General Motors is hiring back workers to meet higher-than-expected demand for cars and trucks. The company will reinstate 1,350 workers and add overtime for about another 10,000, the result of a broad surge in sales at least partly due to the clunkers program.

The rehires represent only a small portion of the tens of thousands of GM workers who have been laid off in recent years, but the news is a marked turnaround from just months ago when the company was undergoing bankruptcy proceedings.

"We're running much hotter," said Mark LaNeve, GM's vice president of U.S. sales.
Most of the jobs will be added at the company's Lordstown, Ohio plant, where the Chevy Cobalt, a small car, is built, while others will be added in Ontario.

The news from GM follows Ford's announcement last week that it is boosting North American production to meet the increased demand spurred by the clunkers program.

Ford said its third-quarter output would rise by 10,000 vehicles to 495,000, primarily because of increased demand for Escape small utility vehicles and Focus small cars, the two most popular Ford vehicles under the federal incentive program.

The problem here is that the "promised" incentive money is not being produced. What is going to happen is that the lay offs are going to increase if the funding does not come in soon. The car companies will have to claim bankruptcy as they will not be able to pay the employees what is owed to them and then of course with the large surplus of cars they will have just sitting around...well you see the point here.

I said from the beginning that this was a good idea gone really bad. With the national debt being what it is...how and or where will this agreed upon funding come from?

Healthcare debate fuels extremism

I want to start this post with a simple statement. Although I do not care for the way Barack Obama is running the USA at this point, I in no way agree with death threats to him or wish him any harm.

The message was clear. The sign carried by a 51-year-old man last week outside a raucous town hall meeting on health care in Hagerstown, Maryland, read "Death to Obama".

Just to emphasise his point, a second message was also scrawled on the cardboard placard. "Death to Obama, Michelle and 2 stupid kids," it stated.

Welcome to the disturbing new face of America right now . Many fear it might end in tragedy.

Obama has been labelled as a threat to democracy and an anti-white racist by senior presenters on the TV channel Fox News. Republicans, seizing on the fierce debate over Obama's plans to reform health care, have called him a socialist who plans "death panels" for the elderly.

Rumours have circulated that Obama was not born in America and that he plans to ban firearms. A recent poll in Virginia showed only 53% of voters believed Obama was born in the US. In neighbouring North Carolina, 54% of voters shared that opinion.

This is becoming a major security issue, prompting fears of an attack on Obama's life or some other incident of domestic terrorism. "This is a very dangerous situation that can spin off 'lone wolf' individuals who decide now is the time to act against people they see as an enemy,"

Federal authorities have launched a program to try to detect any individuals who might be planning attacks similar to those that in recent months have killed a Kansas abortion doctor and a black security guard at Washington DC's Holocaust Museum.

At the same time, the watchdog group the Southern Poverty Law Centre has issued a report that warns of rising numbers of potentially violent groups. The number of hate groups has grown from 602 in 2000 to 926, the organisation found.

Its report quoted one senior federal law enforcement official, Bart McEntire, as saying: "This is the most significant growth we've seen in 10 to 12 years. All it's lacking is a spark."

Many experts believe that spark is no longer missing. Critics say that Republican politicians have let loose a wave of anger tied to the health care debate. Fuelled by racial issues and the economic crisis, it may be impossible to control. "

Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley warned his constituents that Obama's plan could "pull the plug on grandma". Former senator Rick Santorum, who is a possible 2012 presidential hopeful, recently sent out an email warning that Obama was "determined to remake America as a socialist utopia". Oklahoma congressman John Sullivan told supporters in his home state that Obama was creating an "enemies list" of those opposed to health care.

Fox News presenter Glenn Beck, has claimed Obama dislikes white people. "This guy is, I believe, a racist," Beck said. Beck has also discussed allegations that Obama is setting up a network of secret internment camps and joked about poisoning Democratic congresswoman Nancy Pelosi.

Meanwhile Rush Limbaugh, whose weekly radio show is listened to by millions of Americans, has compared the Democrats to the Nazi party. Perhaps taking him at his word, some health care protesters have carried signs featuring swastikas and Obama with a "Hitler" moustache.

(ironically enough from the beginning he has been compared to Hitler...and lets face it his actions and come ons fit the bill)

It is in the so-called "birther" movement that the radical right has gained the most traction. The myth, which has been debunked, holds that Obama was not born in America. Numerous Republican politicians have floated the idea based on the false allegation that Obama cannot provide a birth certificate. The theme has been picked up by the media, including mainstream outlets such as CNN.

(the question is why not just produce the original and let this story end?)

Since Obama took office, the rate of threats against the president has increased 400 per cent from the 3,000 a year or so under President George W. Bush, according to Ronald Kessler, author of In the President’s Secret Service.

Some threats to Mr Obama, whose Secret Service codename is Renegade, have been publicised, while most have been kept secret.

Then based on the codename which means:
1 : a deserter from one faith, cause, or allegiance to another
2 : an individual who rejects lawful or conventional behavior
3 : of or like a renegade; traitorous
disloyal, treacherous, dissident, false, rebellious, recreant

Synonyms:1. traitor, deserter, betrayer, dissenter

I have to wonder why his codename is renegade?

Now as I stated I do not believe anyone should or has the right to take a life. However in this case it is clear that these threats on Obama are not due to him being "African American", but from the outrage he is causing by pissing off Americans.

I recently sent out an email to over 100 people who voted for Obama and ask them if they wish they hadn't and 73 of them said if they could do it again they would not have voted for Obama. This goes to show that these are not just right wingers who are having a problem with Obama's ways.

I guess you should ask yourself the same thing if you voted for him.

Dead By Mistake....Medical Care problems

I have been following a story relating to the many many "accidental" deaths made by "professional" health care doctors. This story hits home for all of us and needs to be addressed.

First I would like to personally say that I have always thought that when I go see a Dr. or a Surgeon etc, I don't care about their fancy "degrees" on the wall. What I want to see is the transcript of their GRADES. Lets face it...a D is passing. I don't want to see a Dr. who barely got by with C's and D's. How do you know who is really treating you. If their grades were posted on their wall...well then we would be able to make an informed decision on whether this Dr. is worth seeing or not.

No A's and B's...no work done on me by you.

Now to the story:

We read these horror stories in our local newspaper all the time, but this is really getting out of control.

Experts say that Medical harm kills almost 200,000 a year. This harm refers to mistakes made by Dr's and your care givers. They also state that 98,000 people die from preventable medical errors each year. In fact more Americans die each month of preventable medical injuries than died in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. (More per month)

In addition to this, a federal Centers for disease control and prevention study concluded that 99,000 patients succumb to hospital acquired infections. Almost all of these deaths are preventable.

Ten years ago a publicized federal report called the death toll shocking and challenged the medical community to cut it in half within 5 years. Instead a national investigation found that the medical community, THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT and most states have overwhelmingly failed to take the effective steps outlined in the report a decade ago.

Due to this a reported 2 Million Americans have died needlessly of preventable medical mistakes. Of course this has been treated with secrecy.

In an analysis that lifted the veil of secrecy showed that in five states...New York, California, Texas, Washington and Connecticut only 20% of the 1434 hospitals are participating in the National safety campaigns.

Now we have the Obama administration wrangling with congress about access to health care, while frustrated patient safety leaders say this "to err is human" attitude needs to be addressed.

Although this has sparked awareness of the problem the revolution of this is doomed by a lack of political leadership and the health care lobby's vested interest in maintaining business as usual.

I guess the business of death by mistake is pretty profitable also.

Statements were made, "We didn't have any government efforts."

In a Seattle hospital a patient died after an antiseptic was injected into her bloodstream instead of the dye that was to be used. The problem, the two containers were both filled with clear liquid and not marked.

Deaths from medical injuries happen behind the doors of a hospital room. Unlike a national tragedy that takes hundreds of lives in an instant, these deaths are singular and often secret.

The report stated that Doctors fudge death certificates, leaving out information that would point to medical error as a prime or contributing cause of death.

Why?: Doctors aren't given enough motivation to report medical errors, and because of liability, "it would cause them problems down the road, so that there is a disincentive to report it."

Doesn't that seem illegal?

The OBAMA Administration does not support a nation wide mandatory reporting system. According to Nancy Ann DeParle (Obama's health advisor), "the best thing to do is to create the incentives and the knowledge around best practices to prevent the errors".

What...A Doctor needs and incentive to do his job right...what should we do..give them even more money?

MORE SECRECY AHEAD:

Under federal regulations, medical practitioners can be fined $10,000 for publicly revealing information about their errors. (does that make sense to anyone else?)

The federal government (Obama's administration) will not have involvement with this.

"Richard Flagg drowned in his own blood.

Surgeons at Meadowland Hospital in NJ accidentally removed Flagg's healthy lung, leaving behind a tumor in the diseased lung. The tumor bled and made him cough. Flagg survived three years, attached to oxygen until the tumor ruptured and he drowned in his blood.

Stanley Stinnett choked on his own vomit".

Stinnet entered the hospital and didn't have much choice about his care. They did nothing for him but fill him with medication to let him die peacefully. The problem: There was nothing wrong with him except for 4 fractured ribs. Rather than finding this out they pumped him with drugs..he choked and started to vomit and died from complications of the drugs administered to him.

A women went in for a routine hysterectomy which resulted in an infection so bad that she had to have her left leg amputated just to save her life. Her lawyer said that bacteria seeped in during surgery, and it took too long for the hospital to take action on her dropping white blood cell counts. Even though it was staring them in the face.

Another women 72 years old, wasn't feel well and went to the hospital. The X-ray was taken and she was told she had bronchitis. She was given meds told to go home and rest and let the meds take it course. She went home and died in her bed that day. The coroners office said she had pneumonia, not bronchitis and that one of her lungs was soaked with fluid.

This of course goes on and on.

Does anyone else want a few things done about this?

Why doesn't Obama's administration address this?

Why does Obama think we should give incentives for Doctors to tell the truth?

Cash For Clunkers program

The cash for clunkers program has given taxpayers a valuable lesson...

The lesson can be taken two ways.

1. How to get our county in more debt

2. Or how to put ourselves in more debt

Either way we lose.

I recently read of 5 different mistakes that were made with this incentive program and decided to share this here.

Taking a good idea and making it bad: The government should encourage good behavior and we all should work at making this country better. However the clunker program should have had a cap of $1000 or maybe even $2000 per buyer. Rather the offer was up to $4500 per buyer and the market force was distorted.

An inability to simply say NO: The program quickly burned through the first billion that was set aside and then rather they saying Yeah, congress acted as if they were in Vegas and shoveled out another $2 billion into the pile. Remember they are playing with our money.

This was focused on the short term and not the long term: Everyone ran out and cashed in their old car for a new one...sales skyrocketed for auto makers. Now what about the 4th quarter? Most buyers have already bought what they wanted and we don't buy cars every month...its not like bread, milk or eggs. The car dealers are now going to be sitting on a lot of inventory as sales plummet.
Ironically this was designed to boost American Auto makers and Ford Focus did lead the pack in sales. Directly following Ford came Toyota corolla, Honda Civic and Toyota Prius and Camry all FOREIGN models. I wonder if Japan will send us a thank you?

Taking credit for what is going to happen anyways! Lets face it...old cars are junked anyways as they quit working. The cars that qualify for this are old smoking burnt out clunkers that will be off the road anyways.

Ignoring the deficit: While everyone was slapping each other on the back and praising what a good idea this is they seem to have forgotten the key point: Our government is not funding this we are...and since they forked out the now $3 billion dollars and this money is borrowed from our future...thus adding to the enormous debt we have already racked up.

With the above mistakes, people losing their jobs and becoming homeless...I guess those new car owners can live in their cars...that is until the dealership comes to repo for it for lack of monthly payment.

Many sales under the clunkers incentive appear to be deferred purchases from buyers who otherwise would have bought a new car before the program started. They just held out to receive the extra money. I guess you and I can pay for someone else to have a new car...No wait that will end of being the burden of our children and their children.

A Real Health Plan Reform

According to the Obama administration and his ideas for "health care for all", most Americans are going to go broke with this idea.

Obama's plan is to make insurance a requirement that all Americans will have to carry and of course pay for. Lets look at this for a moment.

1. If "all" Americans could afford health care they would cover themselves and their families.

2. If all businesses could afford to pay for health care for their employees most would do so.

Now as stated, according to Obama's plan it will be mandatory for all businesses (even the small ones) and all individuals and families to have health care. The problem is...for an individual it will cost approximately $90-120 a month. I for myself cannot afford to pay this out. As it is I am required by law to carry car insurance and that in itself kills me.

Small businesses barely stay afloat as it is ...otherwise they would not be "small". To require a small business to dip into the small amount of profit they generate to cover the cost of health care for their employees will break them.

So the question is ...Why is it that most people do not have health care? Of course we know it is due to the money. But what if we put a cap on what insurance companies could charge? What if we put a cap on what the pharmaceutical companies could charge? How about a cap on what Dr.s can charge?

An example: You go to doctor "A" for a yearly check up. Dr. A charges $90 for the visit and then an additional $30.00 for the exact reason you were seen. (I have been a medical biller and know what I am talking about). Now you go to Dr. "B" for the same yearly check up and Dr. B charges $190 for the visit and then an additional $75 for the reason for the visit.

Anyone else see a problem here?

Now while seeing Dr. A you wait for 1 hour to be seen, but when the Dr. does see you, he or she spends quality time with you and listens. While Dr. B you wait also (AS ALL DOCTORS MASSIVELY OVER BOOK) yet Dr. B comes into the room and is out of the room in approx. 5 minutes.

You know what I am talking about!

Then every Doctor wants to send you for lab work and yet when you tell them you just had this done you are told.."yes but not by me". As if what they will do will be any different. In fact I just had this done to me. The Doctor told me his lab work is more inclusive and therefor needed to be done. Ironically I was sent to the same place "Quest Diagnostic".

The reason: to get paid more.

Then there are the numerous "prescriptions" you need to purchase. Here is how that works. In a Doctors office, "drug reps" come by all the time and "smooze" the Doctor with food and treats. The Doctor is then given a percentage for each "script" he or she writes with that particular drug. Thus the Doctor makes money by giving you drugs. The drug prices then go up because once again someone else has to be paid.

Example: The drug Lipitor cost about $5.00 to make per person per month. However, to buy Lipitor costs about $270.00 per month per person? To many "greedy" hands in the mix. The drug company sells at a higher price, the drug reps get a cut, the Doctors get a cut, the pharmacy gets a cut and everyone who handles this along the way gets a cut.

Who gets screwed here...we do.
Why do you need a "drug rep"? Isn't that like pushing drugs? Which I believe is illegal...but not for these drugs. Why does the Doctor get paid to write out the scripts to people who really need this? And better yet why does the Doctor get paid to write out scripts to those who don't really need it. Why do the pharmacist need to get paid $50.00 and hour?

Based on the above what really is going to change with Obama's plan? Not only will I have to pay the above fees anyways but I will have to cover the required plan also.
And then you know full well that Doctor's fees will continue to rise, the pharmacist will get paid more, the drugs reps will push more drugs and still there will be no end. And in the mean time the independent insurance carriers will continue to jack up their prices.

So why not put a stop to this jacked up inflation? What if the Doctor could not charge outrageous fees? What if the Doctor had to treat you with respect and not just as a dollar sign? (ever go see a Doctor when you only had medicaid? which by the way is a state/government run program) I can tell you first hand, number one good luck finding a Doctor who will take this and if you can ...good luck getting good care!

What if the insurance companies were across the board...meaning why do you pay $700 plus if you live in Texas and yet from the same insurance company with the same policy in New Mexico you only paid $187.

Once again we need to put a cap on things.

Why couldn't we get a script from the Doctor and get our prescriptions filled directly from the manufacturer. We do that all the time with everything else...wholesale product direct from the maker. Cut out all the middle men and we would be ok.

If you saw a Doctor once or twice a year and they only charged $90 people could afford to cover their own expenses. If every Doctor did not have to repeat the same tests over and over again...

You see where I am going with this. Now with Obama's plan once again those of us who cannot afford this will be screwed and in the mean time the Doctors, Pharmaceutical companies, Pharmacies, Insurance companies and drug reps will continue to raise prices.

My proposal for a real health plan reform is to CAP this madness and stop letting the "big wigs" rip us off. All insurance should cost the same.

Yes I know you are saying...but some people have lots of health care issue and it costs a lot of money to take care of them. But my question to you would be this...
If there were caps on the amount of money Doctors and hospitals could charge...would it really cost that much? Why is it that a CAT SCAN cost 1000's of dollars? Why is it that when you are in the hospital and ask for an Excedrin they charge you $8.00 a piece? For $8.00 you can buy your own huge bottle of Excedrin. Why is it that a bandage in the emergency room costs you $800.00

Lets get real here. Again think of who is making the money. And think of who is paying out the money.

It used to be Doctors cared about their patients, now it is pretty much a money game. I recently was sent to a surgeon who found that I have a mass by my belly button on the inside. When I asked what he was going to do about this he told me " I am going to send you to so and so and let them deal with it". I spent 3 months seeing this surgeon just to be brushed off? Only a month after this, this same Doctor was in the paper as he turned his gastrointestinal practice over to gastric bypass totally.

Makes sense now...why do a procedure to help me at only a few thousands dollars when you can see Joe Blow and charge $50,000?

Obama's Healthcare reform plan: The impact on small business

President Barack Obama and Republican lawmakers are arguing over the issue of whether the plan to reform health care would help or hurt small businesses.

President Obama says a study, by the White House Council of Economic Advisors, (notice by his own people and not the public) shows that small businesses pay more for employee health benefits than big businesses do.

The reason: "Because they lack the bargaining power that large businesses have and face higher administrative costs per person, small businesses pay up to 18 percent more for the very same health insurance plans-costs that eat into their profits and get passed on to their employees,"

(this may be true for many smaller businesses, however the smaller business generally does not carry insurance for employees) Why not change the "bargaining power they have rather than force them to pay for insurance? The insurance companies should have a cap put on them rather than the small business being forced to carry the insurance alone. If we changed the way the pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies "inflated" their prices we would not have this problem to begin with.

In his weekly address, Obama says lawmakers need to quickly pass his health care overhaul initiative, to relieve the burden on small businesses." (why is this such a rush? Are all the facts in?)

This is unsustainable, it is unacceptable, and it is going to change when I sign health insurance reform into law," said the U.S. president. This statement alone at least to me gets me as he makes it sound as if it is his way or no way and that he alone is going to "save" the world regardless of whether we like it or not.

What happened to voting? What happened to the people's voice?

In the weekly Republican message, Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers says the Obama plan will do more harm than good for small businesses and their employees. "Because the Democrats' plan is bankrolled by a small business tax, more jobs will evaporate," she said.

Rodgers, says the proposed reforms would also require small businesses to provide health care for employees or face higher taxes or fines.

Now if you have ever run a small business you know it is hard enough to pay for employees and make a profit much less be forced to pay for insurance for employees. I ran my own business for years and with this "Obama" plan I would have had to close my doors.

Rodgers also disputes the president's contention that his plan will allow people to choose their own doctors.

Obama's health care proposal has encountered several obstacles in the past few days, despite the president's efforts to advance it.

Senate Democrats said Thursday they could not meet the president's early-August deadline for passing the bill. Democrats in the House of Representatives disagree sharply about provisions in the legislation.

Meanwhile, President Obama is criticizing some Republicans for saying the defeat of health legislation would be an opportunity to damage him politically.

"Some have even suggested that, regardless of its merits, health care reform should be stopped as a way to inflict political damage on my administration,"

(again I want you to notice "My Administration" and not the people)

"I will leave it to them to explain that to the American people.

"Obama has spoken about health care reform at almost every opportunity in the past week.

He held a public forum on the issue in Ohio on Thursday.

The night before, most of a one-hour nationally-televised news conference focused on health care.

But the final question dealt with the arrest of an African-American college professor at his home in Massachusetts.

When Obama responded that the police officer had acted "stupidly," it set off a national controversy on race that has diverted attention from the president's efforts on health care reform.

Here is most of what Obama said about the situation.

"I don't know all the facts. What's been reported, though, is that the guy forgot his keys, jimmied his way to get into the house, there was a report called into the police station that there might be a burglary taking place -- so far, so good, right?

... My understanding is at that point Professor Gates is already in his house. The police officer comes in, I'm sure there's some exchange of words, but my understanding is, is that Professor Gates then shows his ID to show that this is his house. And at that point, he gets arrested for disorderly conduct -- charges which are later dropped.

Now, I don't know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played in that, but I think it's fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry; number two, that the Cambridge Police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home; and number three, what I think we know separate and apart from this incident is that there is a long history in this country of African Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately.

That's just a fact.
... That doesn't lessen the incredible progress that has been made. I am standing here as testimony to the progress that's been made.

And yet the fact of the matter is, is that this still haunts us. And even when there are honest misunderstandings, the fact that blacks and Hispanics are picked up more frequently and often time for no cause casts suspicion even when there is good cause."

Now

based on this out of Obama's own mouth...who is the one who seems to be predudice?

The bold comments I think are worth going over.

1. I don't know all the facts...then the question I would ask...then why respond? Why not just say I don't know all the facts and let it go? Instead he stirs up the pot.

2. I'm sure there is some exchange of words:...of course there would be conversation going on...but to say exchange of words the way he did makes it sound as if there was a problem right from the get go.

3. What role race played:..why would Obama even say this? Being White myself it makes me feel as if he is saying all "white" people have a problem with other races and therefore it must be "race related".

4. The cambridge police acted stupidly:..Lets go back to number 1...he did not know all the facts and only knew the small report that had been told to him. I wonder how many "white" people were arrested the same night that is not being mentioned? How does Obama know or not know how the man inside was really reacting to the police...maybe he was acting stupidly?

5. I am standing here as a testimony to the progress that has been made:..again I refer you to my earlier blog...Obama...you are not all black and were in fact raised as "white". What testimony is he? This again by his own words brings "race" into the picture as people who did vote for him (hopefully did not do so simply because he was black?)

6. The fact that blacks and hispanics are picked up more frequently and often time for no cause cast suspicion even when there is cause:...what? Now I am not saying that we live in a non predudice world or that the above statement may be true. What I am saying is ...What is Obama trying to do...stir up contention? How does he know that blacks and hispanices are picked up more frequently when he is not there to know why they were picked up to begin with?

I guess I could say the same thing for where I live only the shoe would be on the other foot....most officers in my town are black...so are they being racist by picking up more whites frequently?

If a crime is done...what difference does your skin color make?

People who makes comments like the above stated by Obama are the ones who are racist.

In all of Obama's speeches he refers to himself in a superior way as in his laws, his administration...as if his ways are the best. Isn't this a racist definition?

"It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela."

What's in the Energy Bill?

June 14, 2007 · The controversial energy bill now on the Senate floor takes a different approach than the bill pushed through by a Republican Senate in 2005. That measure sought to increase domestic oil production through subsidies and other incentives. With Democrats now in charge, the new bill focuses on decreasing consumption of oil and gasoline. Fuel Economy: The bill would, for the first time in decades, raise average fuel-economy standards for cars and SUVs or light trucks (up to 10,000 pounds) — from 25 mpg to 35 mpg by 2020 (a roughly 40 percent increase). Guess who will pay for you to either get your car up to standards or to pay for a car that is up to standard. This provision is the most controversial, especially with the auto industry, which argues that it could push up the production costs of each vehicle by thousands of dollars. That has led some Democrats to propose federal financial relief for automakers.

Renewable Fuels: The bill mandates the use of 15 billion gallons of biofuels annually by 2015 and 36 billion gallons by 2022 (up from 8.5 billion gallons in 2008). In the beginning, most of the biofuel would be corn ethanol. Beginning in 2016, the bill mandates annual increases of 3 billion gallons in the use of advanced biofuels – such as "cellulosic" ethanol, which can be made from switch grass, wood chips or agricultural waste. Oil refineries and food manufacturers – who warn that diverting corn to ethanol production could hike up food costs — oppose this provision. Aren't groceries high enough? Many people go without as it is.

This is how your fridge will look if you are lucky by the time Obama is done!

Energy Efficiency: The bill sets energy-efficiency standards for home appliances, heating and cooling systems, lights and residential boilers. It requires federal agencies to get at least 15 percent of their electricity from renewable sources by 2015 and to reduce oil consumption by 20 percent. It also requires regular government review of efficiency standards.

Carbon Capture and Storage: The bill promotes research into methods of capturing carbon dioxide emissions from power plants and storing them underground.

Once again your tax dollars....!

Public Buildings: The bill requires energy efficiency in federal buildings, mandating a 20 percent reduction in operating expenses over five years through the use of more-efficient lights, heating and cooling. It also authorizes three demonstration projects that put "green-building" techniques into practice. If these are federal buildings...we will be paying for this also.

Energy Security: The bill asks the secretary of state to establish "strategic energy partnerships" with the governments of major energy producers (so now we are going to "get in bed" with other countries) and consumers to increase international energy security.

Price Gouging: The bill makes oil industry "price gouging" a federal crime during times when the president has declared a temporary "national energy emergency" — much like the emergencies that states declared after Hurricane Katrina. The Federal Trade Commission would also be given greater authority to investigate possible manipulation of the oil market – including refinery shutdowns. Oil companies and the Bush administration strongly oppose this provision, which has prompted a veto threat from President Bush.

SMALLER ITEMS:
The bill also includes a host of smaller items, such as:
—incentives to spur new inventions in light bulb efficiency
—block grants to state and local governments to reduce energy use (if grants are blocked to the state and local governments then local funding for the poor and needy will be shut down)
—a grant program to reduce school bus idling
—authorization for an initiative to improve car batteries

Now what does this mean to you? If you own a home, it means a great deal.

If you will notice I highlighted in red the main article I am discussing today.

First off the bill will require all people and companies to change to energy efficient light bulbs. Now this is a great idea, I personally just did this to my entire house. However this is not cheap to do. If you buy regular light bulbs they cost about .99 cents for 4. The energy efficient bulbs cost about $8.00 a piece and since we will be required by law to have them...you know the price will increase. Now I have ceiling fans in every room and each holds 4 bulbs, I have 7 rooms in my house thus I needed to buy 28 bulbs. As I stated this is not cheap to do. But yes it is a law and will be in full effect by 2012.

The point here is to save money on energy and to save the world from using up so much. But as I stated you are required to purchase these and it gets worse.

Next, before you can sell you home it must be inspected by the state to be sure that the entire home is energy efficient. Who wouldn't want that? We all would but lets face it...we can't all afford to change our our water heaters, our regular heaters, all appliances, light bulbs, air conditioners, washer and dryers etc. (just on a note: since I changed bulbs 2 months ago I have not seen any change in my electric bill)

Here is the catch...not only will your home have to have another costly inspection that yes you pay for, you will be required to change out and replace anything that the "inspector" deems "not energy efficient". So basically you better be ready to spend big $$$ to be able to even pass the inspection and be able to sell you house.

Yes that is it...you cannot sell your home or even put it on the market unless ALL improvements are taken care of. If you wish to put in the "fridge" with the sale of the house, it must be energy efficient, meet certain criteria and then pass inspection.

Doesn't Obama realize that everyone does not have that type of money?

Let view a typical sale of a home.

Lets say you wish to sell you home for $100,000...

Right off the top you have to figure realtor fees at at least 6.5% which is $6500.00. Then keeping in mind..your selling price is generally reduced by an offer of 10% less. There goes another 10,000. You then have closing costs, taxes and whatever needs to be repaired which generally runs about $4500.00. So now your $100,000 just dropped to $79,000. Now most of us still have our loan and lets say (on the good side) that we only owe $40,000. Now with that taken off you are now holding $39,000 on a home that you have paid at least $80,000 in interest on. Thus you have now lost money. With the economy the way it is now...these figures would drop even more for you.

Now here comes Obama and wants you to cut into the money you have left in your pocket...and spend at least $5000.00 to do the required upgrades and that is if you can get it done for that amount. It will probably be even more, and don't forget at the end of the year you can pay taxes on your Sale amount!

So the bottom line: if you are planning on selling you better do so now!

There is already the "incentives"...such as buy a house now and get an $8000.00 tax credit.
What good does that do, if I will have to turn around and pay that out anyways. And then this is only if you qualify and do some research on this...most people will not qualify.

Please keep in mind...these incentives come out of the tax money you pay...

I personally would rather have my tax money!

This goes along with our rights being violated...or rather null and void as you have not say so in this.

Constitutional Rights? You have the right to remain silent!

I don't know about you but I refuse to be silent when injustice is effecting me. I have had enough of being told we live in a free country and then being told what to do all the time.
I have lived in other countries and yes we do have a great place to live, however the ones in "charge" take many of your freedoms away.
Let's just look at a few things....Please add more if you think of any in the comment section of this blog.

1. It is the law that you must have insurance on your vehicle. Now that is great if you so choose to do so...but you do not have the choice on this.
Well I guess you do if you would like to take on the $500.00 + fine that comes if caught. Now I personally do not wish to be hit by someone who is not insured, however I also do not care that the U.S. tells me I have to have it. Being on a disability it is very hard to pay for this each month. And the government or state you live in ...will not give you help on this. You are told..."you do not need a vehicle if you cannot pay for the insurance". Well I do need a vehicle as I have doctor appts. at least twice a week and with my disability I cannot take public transportation. Given that I am still told the same thing. The question here is this: How is it that you are required by law to have insurance and yet state by state the prices are different?
Example: I lived in New Mexico and paid $56.00 a month for extreme full coverage. Now living in Texas I have the absolute minimum and it costs me $58.00 a month? If the government is imposing this law then they should impose a cap on the amount insurance companies can take from you!
As a second point, I have been driving for 27 years, never had an accident and still am required by law to carry insurance.

How is it that the government can force you to pay out money from your own pocket all the time?

That brings me to my next point:

2. We are required to pay taxes that come directly out of our paycheck, with the remaining money after taxes you are then taxed on everything you buy. The government is the one who gets all of this money.

So the question is: why are we being taxed over and over on the same money?

Example: Pay check is for $1000.00 the government takes approx. 18% leaving me with just over $800.00. I then pay my rent (which I also have to pay property taxes on) thus paying double on that also. I then pay my bills all of which have "state tax" government tax etc attached to them. Again I am paying double plus. Now I need a new pair of shoes and yes once again I am taxed. You can see how this goes. If I do the math on my $1000.00 check and I deduct all the taxes that I pay after my "regular taxes" have been taken, I figure I pay (8.5% tax on purchases) out about:

$200.00 right off the top

$ 30.00 8.5% purchases
$ 100.00 taxes on Phone bill, gas, water, electric etc.
$ 100.00 to pay property taxes (monthly amount)
$ 50.00 Misc purchases

And this is per month...times that by 12 = $5760 Per year. At the end of the year I do my taxes...based on what I made I am required to pay X amount and hopefully I have already paid that in and will get a small refund. However I do not get to deduct many of the above "double" taxes.

Anyone else what to "remain silent" on this? And yet with all of that paid to the government...our country is in major debt.

WE THE PEOPLE WILL PAY FOR THAT TOO!

3. How about the fact that you are required to wear a seat belt? Or of course pay the fine if you are not. Now unlike insurance...if I choose to not wear a seat belt...I get in an accident..I am only hurting myself and no one else. So were is my freedom to choose how to live (or die).

It is done in the "we are protecting you" theory and yet the real truth is ...it is just one more right taken away from you so that the government can give you a fine and keep the money.

4. How about your property? If you own you are told (depending on where you live) what type of house can be there, no mobiles allowed etc. There are neighborhoods where you cannot have certain types of dogs, some you cannot have livestock etc. The state will even come by and fine you if your grass is to high. I ran into a problem when I lived in New Mexico. I had a van in great condition on my property but I needed a new battery to start it. The state came around, knocked on my door (on an acre of land) and told me I had to prove to them that the van would work and was not just some "eye sore" sitting there? What? I had to run out and get a battery, then drive the van to their location to prove that it would run. On top of that it was not a beater broke down vehicle, there were no flats, no dents nothing. Had I not shown that it would run they were going to tow it away and sell it and I would be fined $800.00, what a bunch of crap.

A few months later while having a garage sale an officer approached me with my "garage sale" sign in his hand and told me it was illegal to post signs and that if I did not get the rest down within the hour I would be fined $500.00. What is this about? I guess I should be happy at least I could have a sale other places would not let you even have a garage sale to begin with.

Another time I had the "yard patrol cops" come by they looked at my back field and told me I had to get out there and mow it. Now keep in mind I lived in the desert and there was no grass. I had just whacked all the bushes out and at the time it was maybe 4 inches high in spots. Again I was told that I had until the next day to get this done or again I would be fined.

The point: Where does the government or state get off telling us how to keep up our yards that we pay for. What we are allowed to have on them. What type of animals we are allowed...etc.

YES THIS IS FREEDOM!

5. This should probably be under my "taxes" info above, but I decided to put it separately because of personally am tired of being taxed for "school tax". I do not have children, never have and have no plans of having any. Why am I being taxed for "schools" then? When I mentioned this to my sister not only did she agree but she stated.."once your children are past the age of going to school then the parent should not be taxed from that point on". Good point, but it is just a point because guess what...I was taxed an additional $58.00 on my property taxes for "school tax".

6. I know own property in Texas and have a little over an acre. Just this past fourth of July there was a burn ban and we were told we could not shoot of fireworks that were not controllable or that shot up in the sky. Ok no problem, I went out and bought small firecrackers, sparklers and sparklers that set on the ground and "sparkled" about 4 ft. high. I had my hose handy on my property and guess what! Along comes officer Joe Blow and tells us that we are not allowed to light anything that makes an explosion! What? Nothing that makes noise! City limits....plus he says what if there is a fire...well that is what the hose is here for. However he does tell us that we can go outside the city to the county and shoot off whatever we want.

Now...lets see, there is a burn ban as everything is super dry (especially in the county) here I am on my property that I pay for with a garden hose and being safe....Yet I am told to go out to the county with no hose, no way of putting anything out...and guess what if I did catch someone on fire not only would I get fined and have to pay for the damages, but the fire would spread to the city anyways....?????

So much for my rights!

Well I could add so much more and I am sure you are thinking of many things that violate your freedom to. But here is the thing...we need to stand up for what we believe in, we need to stop letting the government govern our personal lives. We need to be free to live on our own property and be left alone....

The only way this is going to take place is for all of us to say:

I Never Said That! I Never agreed to that! Lets petition our government and stop allowing all these "laws" to come into effect by "secret vote".

Ever wonder how all of these laws came to be? I never saw a ballot where I could vote on this stuff...It just happened and now we are to follow.

I am not a follower....I do not want to lead...I just want justice and for all of us to enjoy the FREEDOM we are promised.

We the people...have been violated!

I decided to look over the Constitution and the bill of rights as I have many things that I wonder "why" on.

A bill of rights: A bill of rights is a list or summary of rights that are considered important and essential by a nation. The purpose of these bills is to protect those rights against infringement by the government.

I decided after reading "the bill of rights" that many of our rights are being violated and I just wanted to say "I didn't say that...I didn't agree to this..."

Bill/amendment #1.
Congress shall make no law respecting an Establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Based on the first amendment above...why is it that you cannot pray in school? Why is it that students cannot peaceable come together and have a mini religious discussion on school property?

If we have the freedom to establish and exercise our beliefs and we do this peaceably then why it it prohibited?

Bill/amendment # 2.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

It is our right to bear arms and has been since December 15, 1791, so what does the word "bear" really mean?...

The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights that protects a right to keep and bear arms from infringement by the federal government.[1] The American Bar Association has described this right as among the most controversial of the rights codified in the Bill of Rights.[2]

The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that an outright ban by the federal government on home possession of an operable firearm, such as a handgun, violates the Second Amendment, and has upheld the constitutionality of longstanding restrictions on the possession of firearms including handguns.

Ok..so we see that to bear means to carry and to have on hand, to be in possession of. However the only way to carry a gun is by jumping through government hoops and filing tons of paperwork..having everything about you known...etc.

To a point this is good as we really don't want "crazies" running around with guns. However, if it is our right to carry a weapon..and if you notice it does not say we have to be "approved" then why do we have to go through so much to have our "legal rights"?

Bill/amendment #4.
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

I have personally dealt with this problem. I had "failed to stop" behind a stop sign and was pulled over. Ok, no problem. The officer asks for my ID, registration and insurance..again no problem. He then tells me to exit my vehicle, grabs my purse, searches through that and my car and for no cause. He of course found nothing (I was 17 at the time). Does it not clearly state "NOT TO BE VIOLATED"...MUST HAVE PROBABLE CAUSE?
I guess it was "CAUSE" I was young!
But guess what I took it to court and when I told them what took place...they did nothing! This also falls in with amendment #2..the right to bear arms and be "SECURE IN PERSONS, HOUSES...ETC. Being a single female I do not always feel secure in my house at night without my trusty weapon by my side...!

Bill/ Amendment #6
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district where in the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense.

Wow..where do I start with this one?
The right to a speedy trial? I am sure all of us know someone who has been charged with something. Speedy is far from the process. I know of someone who spent 7 months in jail before ever seeing a judge and the charges were based on "so and so said". They had no evidence to hold him at all and yet not only did he stay in jail but he was told the court system is backed up and so his "right to a speedy trial" will be put on hold until they can put him on the docket.

It says to be confronted by the witnesses against him? What? That does not happen in many cases, in fact the cops, lawyers, prosecutors etc will use circumstantial evidence and never do have any witness. You are accused, locked up and sentence based on evidence put together and not be actual action done on your part.

And then to have the assistance of counsel??? What a joke, in less you are rich and can afford a good attorney you get...yes you guessed it an under paid over worked defense counselor of the state. That in itself seems kinda backwards...the state is accusing you of something and they send you one of their lawyers? These counselors have an overload of cases and as in the above person I mentioned (he never saw his appointed help until 3 months). And yes they get away with this.

Bill/Amendment #7
In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

I have to say...many courts are run and decision made without a jury. A judge, one person decides the fate of another. What happens if the Judge is in a bad mood that day? Yeah, I know you say "no they have to follow the law". Well go to court and sit in sometime....you will find 2 people charged with the same thing...(one a cute girl, the other a rough looking guy)...which one do you think will get the lesser sentence or punishment?

Bill/Amendment #8
Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

HUH? My friend had a misdemeanor charge and was given a bail of $20,000. If this is not excessive I don't know what is. And then no cruel or unusual punishment...Ever been to jail? Nobody is there to protect you and everything happens there. I say getting raped behind bars is considered "Cruel and Unusual punishment"?

So as you can see...out of the 10 Bills/admendments, I have listed 6 that I feel we have been and continue to be violated on. I cannot say that is a good track record.

The Barack Obama books and controversy

In the earlier post it shows the amount of money Obama made last year ...and states this was mostly from the sales of his books.

Just to give you a few quotes from ...Dreams of my Father and Audicity of hope.

Let's look at them one-at-a-time:

"I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."-Truth!

This is an accurate quote from the introduction to Dreams from My Father. The book chronicles Obama's experience as the son of an African father and an American mother.

"I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race."-Fiction!

This quote does not exist in either of Obama's books.

"There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white."-Truth!

This is a quote from Dreams from My Father. It it in a section in which Obama describes a job interview with a man in Chicago. Race had been a part of their discussion and the full quote is, "There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white---he'd said himself that was a problem.

McLEAN, Va. (AP) -- The federal government's most secure prison has determined that two books written by President Barack Obama contain material "potentially detrimental to national security" and rejected an inmate's request to read them.
Ahmed Omar Abu Ali is serving a 30-year sentence at the federal supermax prison in Florence, Colo., for joining al-Qaida and plotting to assassinate then-President George W. Bush. Last year, Abu Ali requested two books written by Obama: "Dreams from My Father" and "The Audacity of Hope."
But prison officials, citing guidance from the FBI, determined that passages in both books contain information that could damage national security.
A prison spokeswoman referred questions to the FBI, where a spokeswoman was looking into the matter Thursday evening.
The documents detailing the prison's rejection of Obama's books are included in court papers for a resentencing hearing scheduled later this month for Abu Ali, a U.S. citizen.
The rejection is just one indication of the harsh conditions imposed on inmates at the supermax prison, according to Abu Ali's lawyer, Joshua Dratel.
"Imagine an existence controlled by characters created by Louis (sic) Carroll, and that would approach that which Mr. Abu Ali faces each day for the duration of his sentence," Dratel wrote.
Abu Ali requested the books in August, before Obama was elected. In a short, handwritten note on a prison complaint form, Abu Ali argues that the two rejections "violate my 1st amend. rights."
The rejections, as well as other restrictions on family visits, prompted a hunger strike by Abu Ali that has since ended, Dratel wrote.
Prison officials cite specific pages -- but not specific passages -- in the books that they deem objectionable. They include one page in Obama's 1995 book, "Dreams from My Father," and 22 separate pages in his policy-oriented 2006 book, "The Audacity of Hope." It was not immediately obvious what passages might have been deemed problematic, though nearly half of the pages cited are in a chapter devoted to foreign affairs.
Supermax inmates, including convicted Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui and "Unabomber" Ted Kaczynski, are housed under the most severe restrictions in the federal prison system. Inmates typically are kept in their cells in solitary confinement 22 or 23 hours a day.
Abu Ali will be resentenced July 27, following an appellate court ruling that U.S. District Judge Gerald Bruce Lee improperly deviated from sentencing guidelines that recommended a term of life in prison.

I am just wondering if anyone else if finding it ridiculous that Obama has become a celebrity rather than the president? I was looking in a magazine the other day and I found 16 different "Obama" items that one could purchase.

An Obama watch...I guess I could tell time with it...yet shouldn't he be paying attention to time and realize that time is running out for him to follow through on some of his promises?

How about an Obama bank? I better buy that to keep my money in as he is taking it all from everywhere else.

Or better yet....an Obama bobble head. I must say I find that item appropriate.

And this...an Obama bust. Yes I really want that in my living room to look at everyday. Of course I could throw things at it and maybe vent some. The word "bust" does seem to fit though.

Economic management
On February 17, 2009, Barack Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, a $787 billion economic stimulus package aimed at helping the economy recover from the deepening worldwide recession.

Let's check out My Space for a moment! This following commentary is not to say that all of My Space is bad or that all people who use My Space is bad, but rather to point out the problems with your children being on these sites.

I went onto My Space the other day and set up a profile in hopes of exchanging ideas for my blog and to share with others. What I found was shocking. First thing I noticed while "browsing" for friends is that regardless of what age or group of people I searched for...Most all had provocative pictures on their profiles. When I opened a few profiles I could not believe the content that was allowed. Pictures of basically nude people, trying to seduce each other to write and hook up. Titles that were either straight pornographic or utterly repulsive in language. I saw pictures of people flipping each other off, pictures of people drinking, pictures of people smoking (not cigs) etc.

Apparently My Space does not monitor anything. In fact when I set up my account although I was asked for my birthday (to prove I was 18 or older) they just took me at my word. Anyone can go in and make up anything and log on. You also are asked what you are looking for...straight, gay, bi..not sure...

I then decided to do a little research and just typed search for female age 18. Over 3000 profiles came up and I must say most of the girls looked much younger.

This girl can't be but about 15 tops, her friends that are listed look to be about 12-15 (check it out) Now I did not find anything "bad" on her site, however I do know what she looks like, how tall she is, her basic size and that she lives in Hawaii. However it does say that she has 33 friends but only about 6 show up,...the rest are "private".

Just makes me wonder how many "older" men have contacted her and are talking with her?

I think you get my point here. Parents check your child's site. Don't let things be private, personally I would not let any child post on here.

So then I decided to flip the script and check out the men on My Space. The above link regarding the profile of a pedophile states they are generally in their 30's and up, so I decided to check this out and even started from age 50 and up.

Here is what I found:

Many older men looking for "just friends or someone to go to a movie or dinner with". Now there is nothing wrong with that, however I had to question why so many that I looked at had pictures of very young "friends" on their friend list. On My Space you have to contact a person and then if they choose they will add you as a friend.

Why would a man put a 13-18 year old girl as their friend on their page? Really what do they have in common? What are they talking about?

I was raised by a pedophile who finally got caught and I can honestly say I can pretty much pick them out of a crowd. Not to say I go around pointing the finger, but lets just say when you have dealt with this you can tell most of the time.

Also keep in mind that it is not just Men looking for girls, the shoe goes on the other foot also.

My point to all of this? Parents need to invest a little more time in what their kids are doing. I bet any amount of money that the numerous "young girls" profiles that I looked at are being viewed by many others who are not there for the research.

If you parents really knew who your kids were talking to you would be shocked.

And the sad thing is...My Space is just one avenue for Pedophiles to cruise.

Just the other day I was looking for pictures of "men in speedos" for my other blog...type that in under pictures!

When your kids are on the Internet they can look at anything! And I mean anything!

Commercials that Influence our Thoughts

As parents we try to block our children from the things they experience. Television is probably our worst enemy with that. We can block TV shows by blocking the ratings and we can protect our children to a point..but then what about the commercials that air between the show the child is allowed to watch?

You cannot block the commercials they are watching, no not even Disney or Nick at Night monitor the commercials they run. Lets face it ...it is about money.

So here are just a few commercials I would like to bring to your attention. I say bring to attention as we see so much in this world that we become immune to things and really don't understand how the subliminal messages get in. Then we wonder why children become nasty, uncaring adults. It is bad enough that there are no consequences and discipline as become a thing of the past, but why add injury to insult. Read on and you will understand.

Twix: The commercial shows someone either saying something wrong, thinking something wrong, or doing something wrong. It then goes on to say "Need a moment?" Lets look at this...really it is saying "dude, you just got caught, hurry up and come up with a lie." The commercial then pauses everyone else why the person in the wrong comes up with a lie to cover what they were doing...the others then UN-freeze, and the lie is told.

What are we teaching our kids? Not only does the person do something wrong with no consequence but then he lies and gets away with that also, thus saying that lying is also OK!

M&M's: We start of with the green M&M (no coincidence as we all have heard the green one makes you horny) she is in high heels and appearing to be sexy. The other (assumingly male) M&M's are filming as she seduces them and they stand there quivering and sweating from lust.

I don't know about you but that does not make me what to buy M&M's. When we get to the point that we have to sell Candy to children by means of sexual content you have to wonder what is going on here. Kids love candy and do not need to see this. In fact just wait until your younger child asks you what the commercial means or why the Green M&M is acting that way.

How about the new quizno's torpedo commercial? Starts with the hot oven talking to the employee who is holding a long torpedo sandwich..."Hey, Kevin put it in me, you know what I am talking about." Kevin replies "no last time I got burned". "Oh come on Kevin you know you like it".....

Now I don't know about you...but I am not in the mood for a penis sandwich or something that makes my mind think of that. Come on, a sexy oven wants something put into it. Can you see the subliminal message here? What do you think your kids think? I wrote Quizno's by going onto their site and told them what I felt about this.

Sandwich looks good and should sell itself without sex...Now think of same sandwich in the context they are selling it in.

Want a bite now?

SICK!

Now there are so many more commercials that do this...Pay attention...Get your conscience back on track...Don't be seared to the point of not seeing what is right in front of your face and not to mention what your children are watching.

STAND UP...say I don't agree with this!

Write the companies and complain!

We also live in a country the is "sue happy". Notice how every other commercial is stating: did you take this drug, do you get injured...? There is a law suit for that. Come join us in suing everyone and every business. Now keep in mind (as our small print says) we will sue in your behalf and we will keep the majority of the money won if any for our part and the balance will be split evenly among the 100,000 or more plaintiffs.

Do the math here: You win the lawsuit and settle for 150,000, the attorneys take 30% for their fee and additional 50% for costs and that leaves a small balance out of the original $150,000 to be split amongst 100,000 people. Who wins here? If a person has been seriously injured they should be the one getting the full amount so they can survive on it.

I watched the memorial for Michael Jackson today and thought why don't we show our love to people when they are alive rather than flocking in millions after they die?

Regardless of what people believe he did or did not do, it was very apparent that many people loved Michael. It would have been nice to have a ceremony honoring him while he was here is all I am saying.

I grew up listening to his songs and loved him as a teenager, in fact I still have the Jackson 5 ABC album!

Here I go, thinking of the crazy things we are told to believe in. Like, who came up with the idea that women are to shave their legs and under their arms? Yet men walk around hairy as can be with pit hair to their knees and that is acceptable?

Who came up with that? It had to be a man and yet...they also came up with, It is unlawful to walk around naked. Isn't it men who have the big fetish with boobs? It really doesn't make much sense that we have to cover up in public and yet I have seen many men with boobs bigger than most women. Shouldn't they have to cover up? And lets not get into the speedo thing, ever seen a "LARGE" man in a speedo? There should be a law against that.

If you can see all the goodies anyways...why bother?

I recently had some plumbing done on my "money Pit" and the plumber told me they companies are being taxed $10.00 for every mile they go over with company trucks. He said that would not affect them as they would raise the quote for the job. Guess who pays for that?

A little about me

I got to thinking last night after writing the first of my blog that I did not introduce myself. So let me try to explain or describe my self and thinking. I am 43 and not just some young person writing to vent. I am single and female and am on a disability which really sucks. The reason I decided to write this is ,...life is difficult for all of us and we all have opinions and ideas that might just make life a little easier if they were implemented. However for something to be put into motion we must discuss and put the idea on the table. Being that I have past my rebellious teenage years I am not just here to say "Hey listen to me", but rather to speak for many people. Why do I say that? How many people out there reading this feel...
1. Let down
2. Lower class
3. Not heard
4. Invisible
5. Tired
6. BROKE
7. Angry
8. Afraid....

You get the point, we all have feelings that we need to be heard. And not just heard but it is time to do something about this. Our society is so messed up with every type of mental problem imaginable and them some. We are labeled ...OCD...ADD...ADHD..Depressed...Suicidal...Personality disorders...Anxiety...Stress..
This list goes on and on also.

I wonder if we would have all of this if the government didn't have our hands tied.

Do you really think our prisons would be so full if parents were allowed to discipline their children?

Wait I will save that for later, let me go back to explaining who I am. I am just like everyone else and yet feel like no one understands me. I live off of Social Security Disability and receive $859.00 a month, YES you read that right. How the heck do I do this? I ask myself this same question. I have to live off $10,300 for the entire year! Anyone else relate to this? Now SSA is saying there will be no more cost of living raises. And yet just a few days ago I watched a program on top paid celebrities...Tom Cruise made 20 million for one picture?

Anyone else see a problem here. I am not saying he did not work "hard" but 20 million while the rest of us can barely buy food and yes we work just as hard if not harder. Sports figures are playing a sport they love and lets face it ...it is just a game. And yet they are complaining the 5 million a year or whatever the amount is not enough! And lets look at this they only play for a few months a year!

Anyways there I go again, as you can see my blog will jump all over the place and will not be in "order" as my brain bounces all over with thoughts. So back to me...My sister and I recently purchased a mobile home "the money pit", we live together with her youngest son as this is the only way we can survive. With combining our money we are able to pay the $175.00 electric bill, the $168.00 Home insurance, the "required by law car insurance" (that you get no help for) and of course there is the phone bill, cable, water, garbage and sewage...etc.

No we do not have misc. bills, we are not spenders, we are not in debt and we do not as "Oprah" says have bills we can shave off and save money. We live month to month and hope that we have enough to get by with.

Now please don't read this wrong, I am not saying OH poor me...Just letting you know who is doing the writing here and hoping that some of you can relate!

Just quietly thinking

I find myself saying the same things my parents would say to me and wonder why we do this. I swore I would never say "I walked in the snow up to my eyeballs just to get to school and by the time I got there school was over". And yet here I am saying things about the "Good Old days" of my youth, yet was it really that good or was it just better than what we live in now? We reminisce about days long gone yet if we truly think back we couldn't wait to grow up and get out of that time frame.

Now we live in the same country and some of us have never even moved around, yet everything around us is very different. We have no security, most people are afraid, even if they won't admit it. We are constantly on the run then to wore out to enjoy the little free time we do have. What is going on here?

"Scotty beam me up!" seems to be a true statement for most of us. We live in a world that doesn't feel right. Who ever said we have to all be the same? Who said we should all feel the same? Who said we should all believe the same? Ironically all this comes from our government who we "freely" voted for just to have our hands tied once we checked off the name on the ballot. Anyone regretting your vote now?

Does anyone really feel like they are able to have freedom of speech? Does the constitution have any effect on any of us anymore?

I never said I wanted my taxes to be increased. I never said I wanted my hands tied on how to discipline children. I never said I want to struggle in this world and barely make ends meet.

My thoughts with this blog will just be how I see things on a daily basis and how I view things. Most will be comedy as I find this world is becoming a joke, "A Bad Joke" but still a joke. The only difference is we can't just get up and walk out of the club. It is time we all stood up and spoke our minds...it is time we take our rights back, it is time that we have the say so and not words and ideas put into our heads.
